Got assigned a pretty decent load out of the drop yard to finish up the week with, so I thought. I got 90 miles down the road with it and a strange premonition came over me. I took a closer look at the BOL's and realized that it had been sitting in the drop yard for quite some time, much longer than normal. I just knew there had to be something wrong so I stopped at a truck stop to inspect the trailer more closely. I didn't find any issues with the trailer so I figured that it was probably just my creative imagination so I decided to just scale the load and take off; low and behold, the problem was found. Needless to say, Im on my way back to the drop yard with it now.

That sucks. Sorry you got.to.deal with that crap.

Yea ill get with my dm monday morning and get it chamged to a drop. Nothing like leaving a grocer at 2200-2300 and trying to find a parking space. (And yes I always plan 5-7hrs live unload at grocers)

Yeah, I guess if a load has been sitting in a drop yard for an unusual amount of time it probably has a story behind it. I should get a smack on the hand for not picking up on the clues before I got 90 miles with it. Dispatch probably had some knowledge of the problem as well.

I still prefer taking 4-5 days at a time and I'm another $1200 richer this week than I was last week. Glad you're happy though.

The flip side of it is, you are one less driver that's taking loads away from me for the sake of getting home. USA has way too many driver's that want to go home often and there's always a lack of available freight for the rest of us. I'm on a 643 mile deadhead right now because all of the loads are needed to get people home.

I know your loads don't affect me and that's my point. People like you that want to get home often should be doing something like a dedicated run because it works out for all of us.
