he is angry, and speaking with emotions not his head. which is very surprising considering he is one of the most intelligent people on ttr.
also he doesn't sound like a big weiner, he sounds like bayou trying to compare everyday consistent freight to once in a while spot market when no other truck can be had freight.

How much are the ups company drivers paid on those runs your talking about ? I'm guessing .55 cpm plus full bennies.....
-
Most Ups company drivers are making approx. 44cpm plus benifits. Top 10 year linehaul driver would be at 52 and 55 if your running team. Yes they get paid well for company drivers.
Actuall Old dominion drivers are the highest paid. I was there at 60cpm running team but it's not all fun and games, very hard core. -
Sounds like you guys don't like to hear the truth. I knew it would make people mad and get ugly. I understand full well that no 2 leases are alike. I also know what Mercer provides and covers. Still doesn't make those rates any good and they still don't cover deadhead. Not talking about the zero deadhead on these particular loads. Deadhead period, from load to load. Just what I think, good place for flat or step, not so good for vans. You never hear anyone say otherwise.

whatever, as spyder said , a little surprising as he said. still doesn't change the fact you are being a ########, and comparing apples to oranges.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 4, 2013

Really there's not all that much difference as a lot of you like to think. A few pennies maybe 10 cents. Who knows. That's beside the point I was trying to make anyways and sidetracking. You don't even do dry freight but you get mad I'm calling a spade a spade.
That's the same spot freight that everyone gets a shot at. There are much better opportunities out here for dry vans. From what I'm seeing easily paying 30-40% more money than what that UPS stuff is paying. Of course not everyone pulling a dry van is realizing that. To some those are good rates. Not everyone has access to other stuff either.
I never see Mercer vans doing any last minute stuff like LS's and others I see regular on my lanes. It makes me wonder exactly what kind of dry freight do they have? The few LS BCO's that know how to make a buck pulling vans, I could promise they're not pulling UPS round trips. Not mad at anyone or anything. Just calling it like i see it.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 4, 2013

I wonder why we have jokers always coming to a Mercer thread yapping their jaws??? I guess maybe we need to go to the fric2frac thread and agitate them.

Put your big boy britches on and have at it.

If you have nothing helpful to add to this thread, then why do you keep coming back?
