Really no Landstar trucks pulling for UPS. Guess you need to come by the UPS yard that I and sitting at here in Indy and count the number of LS BCO' and I hear they are very high percentage down by Florida.

No it's not. You don't know what's going on here. Our UPS loads are not for outside contractors.
-
All I did was point out a low rate on the freight. I made the comment it's like that everywhere - at Landstar, inside and out, same as Mercer. And how it was neat that UPS and FedEx were so good at getting their freight covered for much less than most other customers out here with good freight. I'm not making it up that people are paying rates far in excess of what normal going rates are on that UPS FedEx stuff specific to the lane you were talking about. I would think that'd also be the case inside Mercer pulling a van, for somebody inside Mercer system who knew where/how to get a rate with a van and IF they had access to that other freight. Then I also asked what kind of van freight/rates does Mercer have. And suggested they might not be all that great a place for someone just pulling vans. I got yelled at and called names and I've seen some of these same Mercer guys and others in the past make similar comments about the van side. Acting like I kicked your dog or slept with your wife.

you can sleep with the wife, but you better never kick the dog.
I have met van guys that make nearly as much as pulling a flat. -
No you keep posting false information. Then we correct you.
Yes most of us get little bothered when someone come on here posting false information. -
What did I post that was false? If someone told me there was other freight paying much better rates I'd be wondering what it was and where to look. This is moneymaking season for vans. You guys are content with those rates on that freight, nothing wrong with that. But if you followed the money with vans all the time you'd know what I'm saying is spot on - that it's ok but not that good compared to rates elsewhere. Is there any $3 on 600-800 mile runs on other van freight inside there? Are there any agents saying please, please I'm gonna be here all night, what would you need? Tis the season drivers there really is freight like that....
-
If farm2fleet can get me $3 mi on 600-800 mi run , I would sign up in a heartbeat.

Oh brother...This ain't the thread for that now they'll really get mad lol. Nobody is going to get you anything, you make it happen or not. These guys think I'm talking about freight outside of Mercer and at other companies and that's not at all what I'm talking about. I'm talking about other time critical freight, expedited and general freight, where customers are paying much better rates than what UPS/FedEx are. That cuts across lease arrangements and differing companies everywhere. Freight is freight and rates are rates. Some of it pays better than other regardless if one is indy or leased on at where-ever. I guess really I shouldn't bother with why people will haul certain freight for less money when it leaves money on the table for others to grab in different freight.
-
So, the morale of the story is Farm2Fleet can get better rates than Mercer?
-
