Ah very good point. Yes it's the drivers fault and not Knight. KnightKrusader, could you shed some light on a burning question many of us have have had for awhile? Why did Knight open up a training school instead of tapping into the vast numbers of drivers that either already worked for them or are already employed with other companies?
Could you possibly see about getting me a check for uncompensated accessory pay I accrued while there? Every paycheck was missing something and gosh darnit those office personel just ain't got time for that. Finally after persistence they would throw you $10 dollars but the actual earned pay would be nice. Thanks for your assistance.
Do not work for knight transportation!!!

They did finally fix the problem with reimbursement for scales by letting you pay with your comdata card. -
2000 miles per week...yeah try 3600 average for this driver here. When i run i run.
DriveItUSA Thanks this. -

If break downs are enough to drag the average down that far at any company, there's something seriously wrong.
J_FROG Thanks this. -

I didn't say they deserve to live on that, I'm saying that a guy that is knocking off 3 loads a week and getting 1500 miles per week will be enough to drag an average down. There are many factors that can go into this, communication can play a big role. If you don't communicate it's likely your DM/FM is going to push you PTA out to reflect that they have no idea what is going on with you. This can cause you to sit, pissing and moaning over every load and cause you to sit, there are a lot of factors. From what I've read with Knight, searching for trailers can kill your miles. You just can't say that I, one person, am pulling in 3600 miles per week and say the average is incorrect.

So do I think Knight is the worst place to work. No, not by a long shot. But it is what it is, a mega carrier that's a decent place for newbies to put time in at till they gain enough experience to move on to their next challenge. Are there some drivers that get better then average miles? Sure, but they are the exception not the rule and I drove for them 5 years up till early this year, It's just not possible to average between 3600-4200 miles a week with them on e-logs.
It's also pretty obvious that Knight is getting aggressive about managing it's online presence. So without further a due I present to you this gem.
