    I think I know the answer but feeling dumb lol. To make sure I'm right though, PeopleNet and Qualcomm are the same thing with different names correct? I just seldom see anyone here mention PeopleNet and that's what my bf has in his truck.

    I figured they were competing companies. Just didn't know for sure if they were basically the same or not. I can't help it I wanna know as much as I can to be able to help my bf as much as possible.

    Qualcomm is a huge company with many areas of interest from making computer parts to Cell phones and the truck industry end. The new system is Omnitracs and is amazing all the things it can do.

    PeopleNet isn't bad either. The new system is Windows operating system which is easy to add apps as needed. But it does about everything the Omnitracs does.

    Different machines yet people still refer to every Computer as the Qualcomm.... or in some cases, the Quailcom

    Yep and if you look at your Samsung Galaxy phone, it might have a sticker that says Qualcomm on it.

    Not saying they made the Phone but they make Computer Chips.

    It explains the driver shortage.
