That should make your fuel mpg numbers show high not low. Now your fuel economy might show 4.5

At the front of the orientation room you will find a couple binders with different designs for custom signs you can have made and installed while you're in orientation or you can just use the standard signs they will give you. I went with custom signs but if you do you have to call your order in asap so you don't sit waiting on them when you could be loading freight after orientation is over. the instructions for ordering are in the binders.

You will need at least 16 logistics straps for hauling forklifts and a couple load lock bars for general freight.
Mercer's van trailers only have logistics posts every 48" so you can't just use straps.
They carry the straps in the company store but not the bars.

Alright will have to get a few more straps. I got 6 and was thinking I had to many. How many straps per lift.

It depends on the weight of the forklift. Either 2 for < 10,000 lbs or 4 for > 10,000 lbs as minimum securement plus the blocking that the shipper provides.

I appreciate the heads up. Let me know if there are some places not to accept loads from. Any info is helpful.

I prefer to accept loads labeled as machinery and stay away from loads labeled as retail merchandise whenever possible.
Anytime you see a parts load going into a forklift plant you're pretty much guaranteed to reload out of the same plant with no deadhead. Both forklifts and Kubota tractors are usually multiple drops but they both load and come off fast at the dealerships.

no, just saying most tube places there are slow, at least you didn't go to atlas tube. I went there had brown hair, I left I was eligible for social security and had gray hair.

but on your mileage discrepancy, you did go the long way around to Chicago. so it would have been more anyway
