Taking intermodal position at Schneider!

    After deciding I Did not want to be "trained" by doing six+ weeks of team driving at Prime (nor do i want to drive a mini-truck), I started looking around and found a really great intermodal position near my house with Schneider. The job is based in SE Wisconsin but I'll be working out of Chicago. Doing my third DOT physical in a month... fun

    Good luck and be safe! How does training work for new drivers going straight in to intermodal? Are you home every night with a daycab or are you taking a position where you might be spend some nights away from home?

    I'm doing regional for intermodal. There are local routes out there but they said I live too far to commute

    Hey ru'n man, do they use the optimizer out of your dispatch or does your dbl put the loads on you? I run regional out of the worcester,ma. Ramp they have truned it on here but it has caused some problems just wondering if you guys are dispatched that way and are there any problems? Thanks peter

    We went to this program Jan. 1. It sucks right now, hopefully they will work the kinks out if the system fairly quickly.
