I'm not gonna say I don't believe him. But we've pulled stuff worth a million dollars and I wasn't bothered no mysterious cars behind me or anything. I just pulled my fright from a to b and unloaded. But I do get a spot close to a fuel island if I have a load on that's desired. Like TJ MAXX stuff. Most of the time I just find an open spot and back in.

Not really, I studied under a professor who worked for an IPS (specifically Time warner) I was told that, by a man who makes his living working with this industry, that an ISP will NOT assign a static ISP unless specifically order by a legal authority.
I assume my knowledge outweighs yours in this territory, and accept your default apology. -
You are, of course, aware that most ISP's will allow you to pay for a static IP? There's a variety of reasons that they are necessary, mainly for businesses.

I understand the OP's intent but working for a company who had/has an entire staff of people watching their products 24/7 and has armed escorts (I mean really armed), I know a bunch of this is somewhat not possible with real organized crime (like that alleged mafia thing) because they wouldn't recuirt people who would operate like this. The one thing that sticks in my mind is after a $4M hijack of the company's product in NJ once, the FBI and the company security were right on top of things, within the week they found who did the hijacking, who bought the load and who at the company was involved (it was the driver <<<GASP!>>>).
Ah... you don't plead the fifth when being interrogated, you ask for a lawyer and shut up. You plead the fifth in court and in your case, it may not be allowed.
OK here is the thing, just because the ISP or POP is assigning ip addresses, it doesn't mean when the lease of the address expires, so does the record of the person or device that used it. There is a record of who gets what and when. This has been a problem for a few who share copy righted material like music on file sharing sites and those child porn creeps seeing that the cops can locate the computer quickly even if it has been assigned another IP address.
I can request a static IP address from my service provider and if I had servers I could ask for static ip addresses for them too. There is no legal authority needed.
It doesn't mine ...Hammer166 Thanks this. -
