Finally underway on our first TJ Maxx dedicated. We were told at 05:00 that there weren't any loads because O/O's had priority and they got them all. At 05:30 we suddenly get a preplan to repower a trailer on the side of I-15 in Barstow. The O/O had an axle drop off his tractor, taking out air bags, brake drums, and air lines. He was fortunate to be close to an exit when it happened, you could see the skid mark from the freeway to the roadside dirt... over 150 yards. Hooked to the trailer and ran the pretrip brake check and carefully checked under the trailer, no damage.

Taking my S/B time now in a moving truck for the first time since June. Going to take over somewhere after Flagstaff. This load is headed to Philadelphia.

Both my partner and I started coming down with colds yesterday. Not eating much today, just apples and salad. Going to try to get over this naturally but bought some Dayquil just in case.

mira loma is a joke, I got a message on the qc the other day I need to come in to get my ecm re programmed or something like that, I asked the boss if he could get me to Lathrop over Mira Loma and he said he wont send drivers to Mira Loma unless he absolutely has to. He said my b-service is coming up and I told him dont send me to Mira Loma for sure, my last b-service took them 1.5 days.....If I had my own truck I would be hitting a petro to get it done.

Today got a load going to Fresno, then a load going down to Van Nuys with a possible Yussen from Long Beach after so not a bad day. The fleet is also switched to 5/2 now so I will be getting 2 set days off a week for now, this makes it possible for better runs for the days worked.

Fontana yard. I flat refuse to go to Mira loma, even after unloading at Costco. On my way to Phoenix in morning. Does not del until 1300 on Thursday which means I might have fun getting a decent weekend load. Plus I can not get my trk into kw until late afternoon. I definately know something is wrong. Next to another trk today, same year and model as mine, and he us still getting high 7 to low 8's. Ended this load, 6.1. At least trk is again blue

It has been changed at every b-service, but it usually needs changing once in-between the services as well.
Believe me, it has had many, many filters.
Like I said, it had been changed about 5-6 weeks ago at a TA.
That is why I first suspect the fuel filter whenever I start to lose power.
No one wants to listen to poor Duane, Duane gets no respect. They try to tell Duane that it is something else, every time.
    But Duane is usually right.
    Yes.

The load I had yesterday was 33700 on the trailer tandems and 27000 on the tractor. Ran US and States highways instead of the big freeways to save 40 some miles but it cost me 5.3 miles per gallon to run the 399 paid 425 actual miles off.

Today's load is only 8800 pounds and qualcomm was showing 11.1 miles per gallon at the first chance I looked at it in the weigh station and 10.5 when I stopped for the night.

spent all day at the towing place to get the bale of hay reworked. weight was 35600 on the drives and 31660 on the trailer tandems. they ended up taking off 3 stacks, which were stacked 3 high, and making it 2 stacks and leaving one bale at the end since it got busted up.went to reweigh and was still 350 lbs over on the drives, so moved the kingpin forward and now good to go.was another driver with the same issues, but he was about 1000 lbs over gross,,, so they were putting about 5 stacks onto another drivers trailer.had to wait till they were done. since i was legal on the gross, the other driver that was going to take some of my bales said he didnt need to come. decided to stay here at mortons t/s for the nite and deliver it tomorrow since it can be there anytime b4 the 9th

Well I never went back to Ocala after turning my truck in and tcalling that load the day after Christmas. Since nobody has noticed that I didn't return, I didn't officially put my resignation in until finding another job. Heard Swift has a reputation for screwing up DACs. Anyway, found a small refrigerated company that runs strictly the Southeast and will have me home every 7 days with a yard in my hometown. Best of luck to the rest of you.
