Thanks. I looked at Mercer's discounts o from the mercer town website. Thought maybe they have such a large discount because they took out the tax at the pump. It is hard to believe they have that big of a discount. I am leased to Schneider now. I get 6 cents off at TA/Petro and loves. Right now we get about 15 cents off at Pilot/Flying J.

I've seen our discounts as much as 50 cents
-
wolf, heres the cold hard truth. Schneider gets those same discounts, but they aren't passed on to you, what you get at t/a is the cash price anyone can get. yep those are our discounts, it opens your eyes doesn't it. but don't feel hard toward Schneider, they're only doing what all the other mega carriers do to lease purchase drivers.
come on over to mercer, the feeling of freedom will amaze you, compared to the mind control outfit you are with nowwhoopNride Thanks this. -
Before long this could be you!!!!
whoopNride and rickybobby Thank this. -
I always thought that I was getting screwed over. As soon as I saw Mercer's discount I knew I was. They screw us on detention also. We don't get detention until six hours, and it's on $50. -
Detention here is paid after 2 hours and after the customer pays. Usually takes couple months to get it. I beleive Mercer is honest about it, just lacking in the billing dept. about billing the customer if it's a good regular customer. I used to get detention pay within a 10days. And I still do get it have the time.
But the best part, is I only need to put in for detention, once every couple of months if that. We seem to have some of the best customers, when it comes to unloading. I usually get unloaded early, like as soon as I get there. -
Wolfhound: One of the special things that sets mercer apart, is how they always treat us here. Like the dispatchers, never ever question why you don't want a load. If you say, you don't want a load, you won't be pushed to take it ever. If you say your taking some time off, they only ask when you'd like to be called again, even if it's 3 or 4 weeks. And totally without notice.
They is a saying around here: We have plenty of freight and money to be made but a lazy man will go broke. -
Is there an age limit for passengers at Mercer
-
not that I am aware of
-
Actually I think there is an age limit but it's really young, thinking I heard like 6 or 8.
But don't let skateboard know. We keep him in the dark. LOL
