Hello all. So I decided to decline the offer of working under a fleet owner. He didn't like the I was "floating gears, downshifting" Course I was doing the way I was taught months ago and I know I've been taught right. So now I have to try to get a reinstatement from swift. Everything is still the same no accidents no speeding violations no DUI's and all that stuff. However when I sent in my reinstatement papers which was only like two sheets. I called the main terminal in phoenix and asked if they every received them just out of curiosity. Then they asked me did I fax them myself or did my Dispatch Manager fax them. I told them that I faxed them myself with the permission from the fleet mgr. Plus he gave me the number too their fax machine. So here they are telling me that my Dispatch Manager was suppose to fax them. I asked them why however they never could give them a legitimate answer. So my question too some if you may know. What should my next step be. Knowing the certain terminal that I run off of are the people with cut-off chicken heads. Sometimes I don't think they know any better. I would have thought that it would've been a simple process but now is turning into a clustef***. If anyone can help me that would be great. Appreciate it in advance.

It's most likely going too happen. If I they don't get it figure out. I've always looked into Conway and Schinder (I spelled it wrong I know)

Blachowske Truck Line is hiring drivers that live in Albany. No tanker experience needed and it's not hazmat. Good looking trucks also.

I'm guessing the reason they wanted your old fleet manager to do the faxing is they ( Phoenix ) would then know that he had no problem with your returning .
I'm also guessing the person in Phoenix couldn't tell you why it's like that was never told
why it's like that , which should come as no surprise to you .

Good grief, companies treat drivers like grade school children that can't do anything for them selves. What makes a difference who faxed the papers as long as they got faxed.

Goes back to the I , Me thing here...the owner of the trucks /fleet wants his drivers to double clutch...not an thing wrong with the owners expectations....after-all he IS the one paying your salary/wages.....the OP just didn't want to comply :smt017:smt017:scratch::scratch:......now it's someone else's fault he isn't working...when all he had to do was drive the owners equipment like the owner expected him to.....:dontknow:

I only downshift when im loaded too hard on the brakes to slow down to 15 mph from 65 as for double clutching it saves waear and tear on the transmission because they are built different than the oldschool ones and will get tore up easy. Its cheaper to reace and adjust a clutch than to replace a transmission. Even a perfect shifter messes up sometimes.
