Reason being is for CDL permit test. Say you don't have your AP yet. Basically the school will instruct you on how to earn a permit before training you in the truck. However you would have to go to the nearest DMV in the Georgia too get your permit. test out from there and once you pass pay 25 dollars. (don't quote me on the price I think its still 25). Once you have that. Then most of the out of pocket cost will be books. However. From my previous experience. Usually they just give you an Atlas, Ruler, Log book, the FMCSA manual. That's pretty much it. Also if you find the prices to be a little bit more expensive then you would hope for. Try going to a truck stop I.E Petro/TA Pilot/Flying J . They always have them kept up to date and stocked. Hope this helps out. I've been using my cell phone as of late and its better to explain over my laptop. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

    Silverdrifter,

Give us an update when you can. Interested in finding out how the training is going and what companies are coming around to recruit.

Also, any info on the costs/length of this program?

To bad it's too late. Rubberducky68 I believe went to that school. He has a thread about it, and starting with superior carriers.
