When I was living in my country of origin, I used to carry only copies of my National ID, and the CPF (a document that we all must carry as well). Last year here in the USA, I thought I had lost my original social security card in a public place... :biggrin_2555: Man... For a few hrs I though my life was over... But thank God it was in my car the whole time... :biggrin_25519:And I felt as if I had got my life back... :yes2557: It did save me A LOT of hassle...

Teddy... I didn't think I would feel this way... but there's something about the energy in those places like the one I went today... It's indeed an uplifting experience... :biggrin_25519:

I had it made when I left Texas City. 2 pallets at the container place going to West Beltway area. Then one pallet from that area to SDV.
But as I was almost to first place he called. I rushed to where the trailer is and rushed to Katy. Got three pallets of drums and took them to La Porte. That used up the best part of the $50 in fuel I got this morning. I got my checks... one for the last day of 2013, one for the early days of 2014 and one for the double $40 they took.
Ace Cash Express would not cash them. I sure hope we get bought soon!

Have a little box to get in the morning. Then I'm going to drag the trailer to the office and they are darn well going to make my checks good or someone will get hurt.

    Rocks Thanks this.

Oh by the way. I could possibly get to the office on the fuel I have. But I will be able to get 8 or 9 gallons in the morning. So that I CAN drag the trailer.

Rocks, I didn't doubt for minute you would be able to put that truck in there, way to go girl..

Well dispatch was wrong about the load to be delivered in Independence. Turned out it was to go 12 miles further to a tiny little town called Dearing. That was one tight place to get out of. Not bad getting in and backing into the small dome/shed to dump. However once I had my bed in the air, I had to pull away from the salt. Problem.....there's a "V" ditch right in front of me. Let the bed down slightly and slowly, while cranking the wheel to the right. Then raised it up, which walks the truck back, while cranking the wheel all the way to the left. Then started letting it down real, real, slow, while my right steer tire rode along the very top edge of said ditch.

Ran back to Hartford, loaded rock, took that to Sterling, then back to Lyons. Wow was I shocked. I was the only truck loading road salt. In and out in no time. I'm home, for the night, will be headed to KCMO in the morning.

Was a nice day today, a little wind, but not bad. I think it got up to around 60. However mother nature has to remind me that it's still winter. Wind is blowing hard now, and it's getting COLD. Suppose to get down to around 5 degs tonight, windchills of course in the negative digits. That's just too darn much, a 60 deg drop in temp within 12 hrs.

Ya gotta admit it beats the alternative, (usually. . .)

Oh hell I've done that all my life. Usually revolving around working in the shop. Put down a wrench or other tool, and I swear the next time I reach for it, it has moved. All on its own. . .:biggrin_2552:
