Here in Lordsburg, NM. Was a decent morning starting out. Went down hill south of Vaughn on US-54, then after getting through a certain section it was all clean sailing. Nogales in the morning, and then supposed to be in El Paso for home time. Do not see that happening. Probably dh to PHX to get a load and then take to El Paso.

Lipton, you where lucky. If something would have happened, you would probably not have a career with Swift now. Bad like that, Swift policy, park it, especially after just a couple of days ago, a video came out about just that. Remember, it is just not you in the truck now. You have a co-driver to think about and take care of his safety also.

    DocWatson and Lepton1 Thank this.

    Spokane, WA at Petro.

Headed for Auburn, WA in the morning, so I'll have to start at around 0200 to make my 0800 delivery.
I'm glad I only have 15k in the box. It should make quick work of those steep grades.
I think I'm just east of all the snow coming in tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully.

True that, very lucky. Should have engaged the differential and started backing off accelerator on the bridges even though I still had spray coming off the wheels.

I'm surprised I didn't bump into you today. I took 54 down here to El Paso today. Gotta watch that construction zone up there on 54. 45 mph and I saw another truck getting a ticket in there.

Since you showed a 2 hour + break waiting, your next break after driving need only be 8 hours in the sleeper, that's one way to ease the tightness of the load.

I hit a little bit of snow today myself travelling the grapevine, was on my way back when a message came in for anyone going south to hurry up since its snowing, I was about 15 miles south of Lebec and it was a light drizzle and 43 degrees so thought what the heck is he talking about, couple minutes later saw some flurries and temp dropped to 34, couple more min and bam theres the snow coming down and temp dropped quick, Lebec was already covered in the pretty white stuff so I shut off the jakes and backed off the speed some. Get to the rest area and back to a light flurry then clear a couple miles further. Seems it was concentrated right around that flying j area but im sure it got worse since it was right before nightfall. Dont know if it continued throughout the night or not, headed back to Pacoima again tomorrow, my wife said it was snowing in Tehachapi too when I called her up but she was quick to get off the phone and back to her friends and the super bowl. She is more of a sports nut than I am.

I made it this morning with 30 minutes to spare, so it turned out alright.

Now I'm sitting at the Sumner terminal because Love's was completely full, as usual.
I had to turn down 2 loads because unloading at Span Alaska took so long - over 3 hours, and I had to stand at the dock as they unloaded a non-palletized load by hand.

Back in Lordsburg, NM. Awoke this morning and a pplan, mt 60 to the drop yard in Tucson and take to home depot in Los Cruzes tomorrow morning. Declined, home time, then about 1 hour later, a pplan, pu same place that I am dropping, and del to Santa Teresa, NM, which is just a few miles off -I-10 in El Paso. Go figure. A perfect example of just trying to throw a load at you. Got here and had a pplan on me and thought that it was for when my PTA on the 6th. Nope, PU around the corner from where I deliver and take to Chandler. Pick up. 2/04 and del 2/04, one hour later

Can not believe this. Almost 6:30 at night, and right now there are only about 9 trucks here in this Pilot. There most be real no freight down here, or they are going over to the flying J.
