Yep I'm still here, I'm on my home time right now for the Super Bowl, which was quite a disappointment by the way. Thanks for nothing Peyton! Anyways, yes I'm still here, j&r is still going well. I got 8000 miles on my latest 3 weeks out, went to Utah for the first time too! Got a 1200 mile run out there from Iowa to Salt Lake City, followed by a 1400 mile trip from there back out to Illinois, and both were preloaded and drop & hooks. I really do like this company, not only do I get good loads, plenty of miles, and home to NJ when I ask to be home, but they give you respect. I get treated like a normal human being, and my dispatcher knows me by my name and not just my truck number & employee ID. If you live anywhere ranging from New Jersey to Minnesota, I would highly recommend you give schugel a shot.

    Jerzeegirlc Thanks this.

Got pre-Hired as a student. Just put my application in as I'm from Werner myself. Trying to get accepted on as a company driver with some experience. Thinking about going over the road if these two local jobs fall through. sounds exactly what I would want. they offered me a 2 week, 2 day home account being from Massachusetts. Have you ever stayed out longer by request?

Yep you can stay out as long as you want. I only stay out two weeks at a time, I get homesick too easily. I stayed out for three weeks my last time out so I could be home for the Super Bowl.. and I don't think I'll be doing that again for a while lol... Are you pre hired as a student here at schugel or at Werner? Schugel may or may not hire you as a student, but Werner will take whoever.. Those guys are so depressingly desperate

Yes, I was Hired out on to Schugel as a student. Unfortunately I think I just didn't go because I didn't want to take a bus ride out all the way to MN. I think they have added some more terminals, and their web page has been upgraded since. I went to NETTTS for a school, I guess they have some strings they can pull to get into a few schools that other programs couldn't. Anyways, Werner wasn't bad while training but after I went solo What a nightmare to sum it up short and quick. Anyways, Like I said I've been looking local since leaving Werner. If that falls through I would deffiantly be looking at Schugel. They called me today to let me know they're just going through the final phases of my application and most likely would let me know if I qualify as a experienced driver. Hopefully I do because I wont be going out with another trainer to get into a company.

What's been your worst pay check, and your best? How are the miles? What are they paying for miles...example zip code to zip code? What do they pay for Dead head and empty miles?
