At the Pilot in Green River, UT. Spent 2 hours on a thin layer of snow and ice as Idaho decided not to touch I-84 from the split to the UT border. Mostly better once in UT but only after you get closer to civilation. Clear and dry since north of Salt Lake and MUCH warmer as well. I've been parked for over an hour and still haven't fired up the bunk heater.
A short day tomorrow, stopping at the Albuquerque terminal the El Paso on Friday. -

A few months later when I was on hometime, (went out to my truck daily to fire it up, there was a message to call her) Of course I didn't, got my usual load out to SLC got there about 0300 and got another load up in Odgen to pickup so bounced over to the terminal and got a trailer before the day staff could see me on the 'drug test' radar. Meanwhile they are calling/messaging me all week, I went to Los Angeles , then back to Loveland CO and my last load for the week was a shorty picking up in Denver terminal for a local live unload 14 miles. I waited til the last minute to enter the terminal to get the tcall paperwork so not enough time to drug test again. Next morning the FM messaged, 'no more loads til you call in'. but now I was ready for it, showered up and fat breakfast belly, good night's rest; things were on my terms.
Was in SLC last night, offered a load to Alberta 800 some miles with 5 days to do it in, turned it down, immediately popped up some load offerings, chose one to Illinois, but planner immediately cancelled if off me and re-offered Alberta begging me to take it because there were no other Canada drivers around. I turned it down again and accepted a load to Albany OR area, also 800 some miles. Winnemucca toniteLast edited: Feb 5, 2014

steve.... didnt see a terminal or dropyard near there. didnt know we had one.

That Love's fills up pretty early. Not too much down that way for parking.

Brooks, OR at the Pilot.
I dropped a load at Georgia Pacific in Toledo, OR, and picked one up at the same time.
Quick and easy, in and out, and they have a scale.
Getting in and out of the place is slow going however. A ton of little towns with 30 MPH limits.
Not much time on this load, and not much left on my 70 either.
If I have an hour left when I deliver I'll be lucky.
No hours coming in tomorrow and less than 5 the next day so I might take a 34 if I can find a Walmart nearby to stock up. -
man i dont get how you guys handle being micro managed so much. central never did this to us and until you guys bought us out. how do you guys fuel your reefers?what if you have like 5 loads to drop in one day.

that drop yard is just around the corner if its still there, I know it was there a few months ago. I was never able to get a mt from the Target DC either, just bobtail in that dirt lot and you might get a load right out of the dc.
fr8monkey Thanks this.
