yeah I hate dealing with Mira Loma

slept in today and got some extra sleep I have been needing, went in and got a shower then some lunch, now parked at the terminal again since I did not want to spend another $20 to park another night when i have food in my ice chest I need to eat up, finally got my oil but the guy made me wait about 15min to give it to me, same dude. Also got a new cb antenna which seemed to have improved my signal a bit, those whip antennas dont seem to last a long time especially these cheap made ones that swift buys in bulk.

Not sure if I will get a preplan tonight or early morning but guess I will get up around 5:30 or so to see if anything comes through, so far it seems all the pu's im getting is for 8am with a delivery in Irwindale by 23:59, I hope they get me over to that Rite aid account soon. A couple drivers I talked to from Swift at one of the pu's yesterday told me rite aid pays decent.

I was stuck in Pendleton, OR for a couple days.

Now I'm at the J in La Grande, OR to pick up a load in the morning.
I could have picked it up today, late as the pick up was, but they are not open.

Didn't quite make it to Pendleton OR last night, had about 28 minutes left when I pulled off at x182 Pilot, didn't want to risk it to the x216.

Woke up smothered in snow so had to put the chains on during pretrip. Had lost 2 chains earlier that broke off and one of them ripped off the tractor mud flap. I knew I had 4 bags of brand new chains, what I didn't know was that there are 2 chains in each bag. Unbeknownst to me I have been carting around 14 chains all this time. then 15 minutes down the road, DPF is Full light came on, haven't seen that light in 2 years. Truck has park regened 3 times today for a total of 4 hours.

. While regening at the rest area, walking Abby, found 3 good chains lying in the snow so put them in the truck as well.

Was nice to cross over to Idaho and engage warp 6.4. I'm hoping that will cook out the soot in the DPF as we have been 3 days at 35 MPH speeds which never gets hot enough or enough pressure to blast that stuff out. Was talking to another guy with a 2011 KW, he said the same thing, after a couple days at low speeds he had to regen a lot more.

Jerome ID next load to Los Angeles.

What? didn't want to hang out at the TA and enjoy my esteemed company?

Got a question. How close did the guard scrutinize your receipts to see if they added up to $20?

They never seem to look really close.
I think they go on the bottom line.

When in doubt, spend an extra couple dollars on a couple drinks.

haha well I didnt want to spend another $20 to hang out there a 2nd night, if the parking was free I would of stayed another or if the amounts were at least half of what they charge.
he looked at my receipts but I spent a total of about $22, one was $17 for the dinner last night and then the 2nd was $5.70 so pretty easy to calc that quick.

Because all I've ever done is waved my receipts at the guard and drove on out ... never paid, never spent anywhere near $20 there.

At the Salt Lake terminal waiting for my load to arrive. I seem to wait here more that all other terminals combined. This time I don't mind as Scotty has my load and is going to grab my nearly new MT as I pull away from it to hook to my loaded trailer.

Mesquite, TX on Wed for a 3500 mile week!

    inkeper Thanks this.
