That's OTR. Suck it up, make the best of it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It seems most likely if they had a load to get you home, you'd get it.

You realize you should have some hours coming off your 70.
    Every day at midnight?
I have been without a reset for 3 Weeks now.

What kind of advice do you want?
Sometimes it's hard to get home.
Some places make it hard to get home.
When I drove OTR for Swift I was NEVER home on time. Always at least a week late.

Unfortunately this is a typical experience for a new driver at one of the large companies . They will totally disregard your hometime.
You aren't going to have a lot of options as a new driver. I started at one of the larger companies and it was always an ordeal to get home. The only thing I can tell you is once. you have at least 1 or preferably 2 years experience you can maybe find a smaller company with a terminal near where you live. Not all of trucking is dysfunctional like how these huge companies operate.

With any company there is no guarantees you'll get home on your requested date. You need to remind your dispatcher every day or 2 or with every load you wanna be home..They should at least route u towards home but they always wait till the last minute.Sucks you may have to take a 34 before home then get home. You'll have a sad payday. You don't know if nothing is going home, maybe they already have a preplan after the load you're on for a home load.If not ask your dispatcher if you can swap it out with a driver that has a load going towards home.

    ditto

Once you get to know a company's patterns... plan accordingly

:laughing3: Hahaha!!! I really did laugh out loud when I read this! Oh the learning pains that go along with trucking. Especially when you work for one of the big uglies.

I live in Albany too and I'm also a Choice driver and I can tell you, it ain't easy getting back to The Good Life City.....and I book my own loads. Hate to say it, but it's true, just like everybody else said, "welcome to OTR.....and suck it up".....sorry, man.
