Here's a screen shot of my miles for the day on elogs. It's a 65 (more like 64) mph governed truck. Just wanted to post the pic to prove the point that if you keep that left door closed, you'll make a paycheck OK. 811 miles times .6633 cpm equals $537.93 gross. Not bad for a day, not attorney or dentist cash, but beats the "minimum wage trucker" rants to a pulp.
To de-mystify it for the newer kiddies, 11 drive in a 14 window still leaves 3 hours in a 24 hour period to begin the next shift. So the "Miles today" figure is the result of almost 13 hrs driving in a 24 hour period.
The next day wasn't quite there, 790 I think. As a result my brain is now slightly fried and I'm at home posting nonsensical threads on a truckers forum at 0630.
Oh, and HEY! - No. Stop it. I can see your horrid little gears turning. There was no speeding through construction zones or truck stop parking lots. Then again, if you do the math on the time and miles, there's no room for either construction zones (bit quiet lately), or truck stops (that's a sure way to kill some time).
Wasn't sure if I should have titled it "I'm a super trucker" or "Quit whining about change and change with it" - I'll stick with the sarcasm.
I can't get any miles on E-logs!

for some of us miles are the last thing we want,one size does not fit all.i run less then 2000 miles a week.

When i was with my previous company I was consistently running 450-600 miles in 11 hours on e-logs. Depending on load/unload times.

We're the same. We both run less than 2200 a week, just like to get it done and get home in the most efficient manner.

You just don't get it!
The e-logbook is NOT the problem!!!
The problem is PAY PER MILE.
If your company, broker, or freight contract paid more per mile, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT E-LOGS!!!
Why should a person be required to work 70(most likely more than 70) hours each and every week to barely scrape out an existence, an existence that if any other profession was expected to endure no one would willingly accept???
When are drivers going to wake up and realize that in regards to the e-logs vs. pay issue, that the government is NOT OUR ENEMY???
It is the unscrupulous, greedy company owners, brokers, and shippers who are cheating you out of rightfully earned income by paying you so little!!!
We are supposed to be PROFESSIONALS, yet we accept AMATEUR LEVEL PAY, CONVICT LIKE LIVING CONDITIONS, AND SECONDARY CITIZEN TREATMENT FROM SHIPPERS, RECEIVERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, THE MEDIA, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC!!!
The only we get treated as "professionals" is when they want to blame us when something goes wrong!

It is obvious that the op see's work time is for work you can't always pick and choose playtime. So when its time you have to bow up and get it. I am not for e-logs only because they wish to force them on an O/O it should be my choice. He merely proves with a solid work ethic there isn't really a pay cut. Which until now I thought a little different. So if nothing else you have opened one old hillbillies mind.
