I saw and understand your sarcasm AND I agree with you!
Keep the left door shut and you will absolutely turn more miles!
HOWEVER,...
PAY PER MILE is a crappy, antiquated system that needs to be updated. It, not only encourages bending the HOS regs, it REWARDS those drivers that are good at being criminals!!!
The technology is there, they know when the driver is working and when he is not. Drivers SHOULD BE PAID FOR ALL THE TIME SPENT WORKING!!!
It amazes me how efficient companies are when it comes to taking money from the driver, but PAYING HIM/HER WHAT THEY DESERVE????? NOT SO MUCH!!!
They know almost instantly when the driver is breaking the rules too. They should NOT pay a driver when he/she is in violations of HOS regs.
I can't get any miles on E-logs!

Good for you sir. Some of us love what we do, and are not motivated by money. Continue to follow dollar signs. I'll continue to do what I love. You can't put a price on this job. The market couldn't afford it. Just like it can't afford to pay most people their fair share. What should a stay at home mom get paid? a Nurse? a school teacher? even stockers and cashiers. Sad that people go around with a price tag on their forehead. I'm not for sale

ODFL is a great company to drive for. Their team drivers really rake it in. They also give a cost of living raise every year almost; the rare years they don't raise pay, they do raise benefits. I think they get you home every 7 to 10 days too.
It amazes me that so many team drivers never think to look at LTL companies, like OD, to team drive.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Welcome to the poor house..theres plenty of room available ..

All true. It baffles me that maybe 1 in 10 drivers I talk to are interested. Maybe its the doubles or the hazmat, I don't know. There's little motivation for me to brag on them other than to try and save good drivers from bad companies.slim shady Thanks this.

If you want to make no mistake your post is in a sarcasm vein, you need to put it into the title, either as J/K, or Not really, or the title is a joke or play on words.
I don't feel like picking on the op, so I'll keep the rest brief,
You have proved e-logs work for you, you haven't covered every situation that arises, or the different types of trucking and some trucking is more customer service than driving and some is more driving involving keeping customers happy, so the customer service part varies considerably.
I get paid well for drops, sometimes it seems almost too good to be true, but the bad times make up for it.I can't really compare, although I have logged well in excess of 900miles in 24 hours legally enough for safety to not write me up. It wouldn't have been much different on e-logs.blairandgretchen Thanks this.
