It is not unusual. If he can prove it, more power to him.

I am not fond of companies and their position on this.

Last one I worked at I came in when it was extremely slick. The one dispatcher laughed and said I was a scared driver. It was good to laugh when she fell on her tail while out for her smoke break. I asked her why she fell when it was totally safe.

For all the "bad stuff" that get's passed around about my carrier, guys like that don't last very long here - at least that's what I've seen.

There's a reason I wouldn't make a good load planner/dispatcher. I'm not the type to tell someone to do something that I wouldn't feel safe doing. I know drivers have to make a living and they can't do that if they sit, but I sure couldn't be the one to tell them they need to get out there and go. I guess I care too much about the safety of others.

    Had myself a "4" day.
    #1 a 489# pallet from Cummins on n. 610 to just off BW 8 above I-10
#2 a bin which was told to me as 200# from one of the places I go a lot to Houston Heat Treat
#2a was supposed to be stuff from HHT back to that place but not ready.
#3 what was supposed to be one sample box but turned into two from Baytown to just outside downtown Houston.
#4 WAS to be something from up off of 290 to World Trade Houston.
#4 actually was two Hazmat drums from near Hobby to Channelview.

Rolled in 19:10 after a stop at Walmart for some stuff.

I thank y'all for your comments and giving me a feeling that it's okay to worry about the drivers. She told me the other day that she has 4 weeks of vacation this year and she plans to take 1 week to go somewhere and then she is having her other hip replaced and I was going to have to learn how to do all her work. I already do/know how to do most of her work, and the 1 part I don't know, the boss does, and I see no reason he can't do that little bit.

On a side note, today is pay day and there is no raise included *Sigh*

Y'all be safe and have a sweet day. I'm just praying for 1600 to get here quick. This week has done a number on my back. ~Hugs~

with this in mind, it is time to start "prepping" the fleet! Let them know in very subtle ways, that they need to start kissing your back (side) if they wish to stay in good graces with the "PLANNER TO BE"!:biggrin_255:
