Sounds like all Schneider had to do is call Trans Flo

 

I asked my ICA about this. He said they tried it but a majority of the documents scanned in we're too blurry or bad quality. I also asked about scanners in the trucks if I bought one myself. He said right now it can't be done, but they're looking into it... Apparently they liked the idea of scanners in the trucks but the vibrations caused a lot of them to stop working.

He said they're still trying to find a scanner model that works, and he mentioned that there was talk about incorporating paperwork scanning into the new apps that are coming out, but nothing was set in stone yet.

 

As of this am about 100 of us are testing the app for the next 3-5 weeks. If all goes well it will be opened up to the fleet.

 

I use the TransFlo app. You really have to play with it and figure it out. The ideal setting is daytime on the passenger out of direct sunlight. Shadows will result in unreadable dark spots. It would be difficult for a large fleet to implement the use of this app due to...30%??? or so of scanned images being completely unreadable.

I gotta dig out my old flip phone with my 0.02MP camera to take 11x13 pixel images of the bills to send in for proof of delivery.

In all seriousness that is what I worry about, that kind of thing happening and then they say, nope no more and make everyone go back to truckstop scanners.

 

Min requirments are 5megapixel, iPhone w/at least IOS 5 or an android. Windows phones aren't supported.

I haven't used it yet (off for family emergency) but I get the impression for a lot of the BOL like P&G, KC, or anyone who uses carbons it may be easier to go to a real scanner.

 

I tried to scan tonight but Dam it's a pia to get it flat. It's like you need to b standing over it to get a flat image.
