I'm not so sure the sliding j hooks are even better. I'm thinking the j hook channel is going to get filled with debris unless I can somehow clean it out. I never had either kind but I old like to try them

 

Once you have a trailer with the J-hooks everything else seems like sub-standard garbage. I never had much of anything get stuck in the channels, besides, a trip to the truck wash every now and then will keep them nice and clean.

 

I'm always digging rocks out mine you can't do much about it because most places I load at the forklift drivers always scrap every rock in the drive....I find it easier to use the shop vac to suck them out

 

Anyone ever loaded at York in Norman, OK? Gotta be there at 8 tomorrow morning...

 

Yep, that place is a bigger hassle than its worth, not to mention that every load I saw out of there was way to cheap. You have to drop your trailer in a dock to load most of the time also.

I wouldn't of normally taken it but I need to get to LKY ASAP so I took it. I survived on pennies at my last company, so 1.58 isn't that bad... At least it's a light load.

 

I don't care for York out of Norman either but usually take the load considering Oklahoma city area is cheap freight going to lousy areas.
Mercer gets a lot of loads out of York.
But once you get Mercerized, 1.58 miles seems lousy though profitable.

 

I love my bedchains, but hate the container locks. They are always stopping my winches from sliding where I want them. There's no winch rail in front of each lock.

Anther reason not to only use the coordinator exclusively #122.....

He called me about a load from CT to WA at for $5088. I told him I would call him back so I could check on weather conditions. Called him back 10 minutes later and he told me the load was gone. I checked the load board and it was still there. I committed myself to the load. Then 5 minutes later the agent called me to give me the load info.

I'm sure he knows I got that load, but we haven't talked since.

 

they stopped that, now you have unhook the red airline and they put a lock on the gladhand. just get the loads with a stop or two on em and you can get bumped up to a 1.75 out of there. the good side is the loads are light and when I lift the front axle on the spread, its worth 12 to 15 cents a mile in fuel savings
