Just got back home from taking care of some business in Los Angeles. Scored the best mpg for the truck I have ever seen. Spent last night at a Carl's Jr lol, it was at this cross street that I could not pass up.

Montrose, CO - still.
The pass on U.S. 50 is covered in ice and snow, and I'm not going to traverse these roads in these conditions.
30 MPH in the best of conditions, for some of it. Steep grades, a light load and 45 MPH gusts...
Oh well, another poor week for pay, especially after 3 days in Denver for a couple problems with my truck.mrbmg Thanks this. -
Going downhill all the way?
LOL!
Impressive though.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Cuba, MO. Picked up the load and my GPS wanted to keep routing me to Memphis from Ottawa, IL. Heard how the storm shifted direction and wanted no part of Memphis. MapQuest was routing me to St Louis and over to Big Cabin, and it was about 90 miles shorter, so yes, I came this way. I was hoping to get out of this, and now come morning, not sure. They are saying about 1/10" of rain first then snow on top. Missouri is good about cleaning up their roads. Just have to look and see what is ahead of me. GPS is now routing me to Tulsa and then down 75 to Dallas. Got until 1500 on Tuesday to get 1050 miles, so I can afford to sit some to make sure.

Had the prime rib special ... parked in front of Dotties.

I am over by the fuel islands. Was on the other side earlier but did not like the way my trailer was sticking out.

morton t/s, las vegas nv. dropped that load in apple valley dc. took another to propack in mira loma, then deadheaded back to apple valley dc. got another load to walmart store here in las vegas. taking my ten here then deadhead back to apple valley dc. had a fun time trying to get fuel. was at fontana and they said fuelpumps wasnt working. so went up to pilot in hesperia and theres wasnt working either.before dropping load off at propack, got fuel in mira loma and only one pump was working.

wow should of just told them to get you open at the TA, I got them to do it once in the past.
My load ended up getting cancelled so nothing for me today, I called earlier to get fuel opened up since my light was on and I rather have some fuel before getting my next load, I asked if anything popped up that needed covered but he said other loads cancelled today as well so nothing I could snatch up, tomorrow going to woodland hills then yussen then backup for anything that might go wrong. At least got decent miles last night bailing out things that went wrong, one of the loads I covered was supposed to be done by a driver who got sideswiped by a 4 wheeler and had to get a new steer put on, the car on the other hand bounced off the truck then hit the median wall and totaled out. -
made it back to the DC in harrisonville after doing 35mph for the last 60 miles. I made the call to stay off of the road for the rest of the night even though I was planned on a route. I know I shouldn't feel guilty about shutting my truck down due to safety concerns, but I feel bad about not running the route. be safe out there for those still on the roads.

rather be safe than sorry. no loads are worth injury or damages.
