@Boy Howdy Our starting wage is 36 CPM with a top scale of 52. SLC starts at 46 CPM and tops out 62. Hourly wage for us is $16 while SLC starts at $22. Doesn't seem like much, but it can add up to about $12K/annually difference. Cost of living is way lower for us up here then two hours south.

You all answer the OP or move on. Just because you see one little keyword doesn't have to make you turn the thread into something else. We have appropriate forums for your conversations. Not here!
Boy Howdey Thanks this. -
$14hr starting in PA, After 90 working days bumped to $21.xx. Unsure of top rate. Unsure of Mileage pay runs.
OT after 8, Off Weekends, Great benefits and equipment, Morale is good, Retirement job ( driver or management ) good company
PS: Not a white knight for the company. Former employee. Eligible for rehire.road_runner Thanks this. -
$14 to $21?!?!?! That is a 33% bump.. with my math (which usually sucks). Our probation was $15.75 with a bump to $16.25 after ninety days... then $.36 cpm to $.39 for mileage.
-
13.20 is the dock rate. Once your driving approved you get 90% of top rate which is. 20.43. After a year top rate is 22.73 and will be moving up 2% a year for the next five years.
-
Gonna throw this out here to give you guys an idea for our inter-mountain region.
Dock worker pay: $8.75
P&D Driver pay: $16.25
Line driver pay $16.25/hour (non-driving) + $.39 cpm mileage
All of this is after the 90 day probation period. -
Who you with? YRC?
-
Urgh... not sure if I should really answer. Not if you are gonna badmouth my carrier. But yes, I work under YRC. They take good care of us.
-
Lol
I wouldn't bad them, ok either New Penn or USF. -
I work for USF. Good company. Not as competitive as some of the other carriers, but I am a happy driver under them. They will rape you if you get into any minor incident after YRC took over... but aside from that, they are probably the best civilian company I've ever worked for. Probably will retire from there (if I don't get into any of the minor incidence).Boy Howdey Thanks this.
