In the DFW area waiting for tonite to get unloaded. Already have a return load back to Fresno CA which will be 3300 miles in 7 days. Then going home for Spring Break for a week.
A little side note,, the qualcomm doesn't like me going over the speed parameters lol.

Gallup, NM ... just finished my night shift, driving from OKC. Partner's taking over to get us hopefully to Hesperia, then I'll deliver tonight in San Pedro, CA before I need to start my reset at 01:00 so we can begin the round trip east coast boogie on Tuesday. Love these coast to coast dedicated hauls.
Word of warning for anyone heading I-40 through the construction zone around Sayre, OK... if you are going through there at night be especially alert. It's down to one lane (hammer lane) through the construction zone with fresh BLACK asphalt that isn't painted yet. The red reflective cones on the right are fine, BUT at several places where they used to have the switch over with all traffic going to the east bound or west bound sides it is poorly marked and you might think it is opening up into two lanes again OR that it is going to do the crossover. In those locations the reflective cones for some reason are gone, so you may be at a bit of a loss as to where you need to go.
I had a truck following pretty close approaching one of those locations and he moved out to start passing me and I thought nothing of it until I realized what appeared to be a passing lane was a crossover. He barely was able to jack it back behind me to avoid taking a flying leap into a five foot drop into the median. There are no reflective cones or other demarcation to show the approaching drop into the median at that point.
About a mile after that incident the Gordon truck ahead of me approached another of those confusing areas and started to follow a painted line toward the crossover and had to crank it back over to avoid the same problem.
Be careful with that construction zone (about mm 7 through 20 on I-40 in OK. The crossovers are blocked now, so all traffic westbound will stay on the westbound hammer lane and eastbound will stay in the eastbound hammer lane. -
Yeah just drove through there on my way to OKC swapping drivers at our fuel stop now then to a delivery here in OKC then back to the DC in Texas.
The construction zone isn't bad at all during the day but I could see there weren't any markings or cones in a lot of areas that could be very confusing at night. I am glad that I didn't have to go through that at night because it wouldn't have been that fun. -
Here just outside Ogden at the Peelot. Having fun watching some drivers pull in and not reading the signs. Parking is one entrance and fueling is the 2nd entrance. Just hope that someone does not take off my front end. Pick up in the morning at Boise and scoot over to Ft Worth. Definitely not following the routing of Swift. Down 15 to US 6 down to 70 and over to 25 and then US 50 over to 287. Think that I will just go down 15 to 6 and over to 191/491 down to I-40 over to 287. Today was fun, 50mph gusts from Laramie to Wolcott and my nice 64mph truck, yes, 64mph. Lancaster did not get the one issue taken care of.
dptrucker Thanks this. -
Cheyenne, WY at Love's.
I'm headed to Idaho Falls, ID and then to Logan, UT with a 2 stop Sears load.
I don't deliver the first stop until Tuesday morning, and I'm hoping the winds die down a bit for tomorrow.
Looks like I'll have some 40 MPH gusts tomorrow through WY, which I'm not crazy about since my load is only 11k. Hopefully they are not directly sideways. -
Coming to you live from Albuquerque...
Yeah I came through there twice, went through that spot at night going to Tulsa and again today on my way here. Dropped off the T Call and will pick up a short one to Amarillo in the morning. -
went to Grenada Hills then on my way to Long Beach planner calls asking if I could make a Turlok deliver, I said I sure as heck can so he said he would give me a call back, few minutes go by and come to find out someone else gave the load to another driver who was already there so I lost that nice chance of some extra miles today. Tomorrow have a decent day though, going to Visalia and then Riverbank Modesto so will be around a 550 mile day total.

yeah phoenix would do that crap with me, what would irritate me was that I tried to tcall one of my loads because I was 2 days early and they refused saying they couldnt tcall anything and then early morning I get messages asking to tcall and take a local load.
I dont like that coca cola in Tempe, last time I went there I sat for 6 hours just waiting on the street for a dock and then another 2 to get unloaded yet I got there 30min before my appointment time....
