back in Harrisonville , MO after dropping in Tulsa last night and picking up a back haul in Pauls Valley. Blsqueak, I saw a truck like yours in Tulsa last night. Is Lancaster your home terminal? my DM from there is on vacation this week, too.

Still here in Ft Worth. Did a MAC 30 this morning, and still all crap. I swear that Lancaster puts nothing on the board except crap. All loads under 300 miles, again 2 for Houston, and one dh 191 miles and take 250 ldd. I hate being in this planning area. Even command has nothing that can keep me in the south that pays decent plus I do not have a mt, so even committing to one could be a problem since I do not know how long it would take to get a trailer solution from this terminal.

Here is a place in Fort Worth you might be able to snag an empty.

501 Henrietta Creek rd Roanoke TX

If you are close enough you could bobtail over off duty driving and check if they have empties, If so bobtail back then go on duty back to the place otherwise if they do not have empties, you can still bobtail back off duty driving to the point of origin and no time off your clocks.

Just out of curiosity, can't he just run on line 5 and not use hours?

Btw squeak, we might have an mt swift trailer at the target DC if you need one pm me and I can give you the number to call and ask if you can take it.

Not to go get an empty it turns out. Because later on when he gets dispatched they will include a deadhead order for picking up the empty even if it was a couple days ago. Have to show an on duty record for picking up the empty as it is considered work. But for all intents and purposes off duty driving around scouting for empties can be explained as just joyriding then you just return to the point of off duty driving origin and go on duty back to the spot where the empty is nobody says anything.

If you are on paper logs, just go on duty and do you do then rip out the page and show you're still off duty.

btw... had some bonehead drive into my lane a few times last nite putting me halfway into emergency lane. first time i yelled at himover radio with no response. i evntually got behind him to pass slow rigs up the hill where he then slowed down to 45. once he got passed a truck he pulled to right and i went rite by him pretty quick. only to have him pass me and did it again. dont know what condition he's in or if somehow he got mad at me for whatever reason. by this time we were about 5 miles from banning scales so i caal 911 and reported his irrattic driving. i kept behind him this time to keep an eye on him and both went into scale. they stopped him at on the scale and said something and then he pulled behing the inspection building. they didnt bother me. with this new truck, prepass not working yet. so will hit every scalehouse till it does.
