Thanks guys for the info, now if you go with the X-tra lease trlrs for a while, do you have to find your own insurance for the trlr? I see Roadrunner has a booklet on approved brokers, since they now own C.H. Robinson, how are they to get loads from?

I've been catching alot of grief from terminal mgr & even corp linehaul for not running terminal loads. there's been numerous times that I have a load booked thru a broker on the "guaranteed" list, then call for manifest # to be told they are unapproved. Anyone else experiencing this kind of crap?

No, when I leased on my recruiter told me that they no longer required you to pull terminal loads or penalized you for not pulling their loads. Then when I get rolling they tell me I'm expected to pull 2 a month.

Heres why all the changes are coming down the pike, recently I was told that drivers are booking loads getting the advance then canceling the load and keeping the money. I knew, it was only a matter of time before some genius figured out a way to screw things up. This is why we are required to fax in the BOLS before advance is given now, because of the genius stealing money. This method is very time consuming!, none the less it must be done in order to get a advance, unless you let backhaul book it for you..
Corp is talking with terminal managers about trucks not running terminal loads. while it still not a requirement to run them, I'm sure in next years contract it will be.
Be smart Ladies and gents, do what right and don't ruin it for everybody, over a couple hundreds bucks.. If it was me I would fire any driver that did this. NO EXCEPtions!scottied67 Thanks this. -
I know it has been posted in here but what companies do they use to get a lease truck thru? I have seen some R/R trucks around my area and was just curious. I have tried to leave voice mails for someone in the office or recruiting dept. and never get a call back. Do they have any freight in or around Roanoke Va. area?

And you are right, things are going to get a lot more strict because of one driver who would rather steal money than work for it. -
On a terminal load they will advance 40% of the rate and 100% of the fuel surcharge.
My second load was arranged by a roadrunner 'agent' and they advanced me 50% of the load revenue upfront.EasyB Thanks this. -
Things not looking good over here anymore, will update once the dust settles! I knew it was only a matter of time before something happened! "Everything good doesn't last forever, enjoy it while you can"
