I am posting these pictures as a reminder to slow down when taking corners... I am not saying this is what happened here as it's being investigated and there could have been equipment malfunctions... This is my buddy that is driving the flipped truck.. If your dump trailer driver who operates a trailer like this one which is a tub dump then be careful. We haul organic food waste which is heavy and wet.. These trailers are VERY top heavy because of the shape of them, so if the corner says 40km/hr then do 20-25km/hr.. My friend ended up getting 24 stitches on his ear which from talking to my supervisor was sliced open (possibly hanging off) he was also banged and bruised up.. He is lucky it was the passenger side and not the drivers side. Please no attacks on the thread this wasn't me driving and I also don't know 100% the circumstances like I said an airbag or tires could have blown or something else could have malfunctioned. This is just a reminder that any amount of years driving accidents still happen. This guy is 20+ years driving accident free so it's not like he is a bad driving, just an unfortunate circumstance and I hope he gets well.. The good thing is we are a union company so he will not loose his job, and if he does he will get it back.

(BTW - The tarp actually held all the material in the trailer, at first I though the weight of material ripped it open but it was the firefighters that cut it off so that the material could be dug out and put into our roll-off trucks so they could upright the truck)

Glad he's okay. By the looks of it, he was making a left turn?

Glad he is ok for the most part. Could have been much worse. Sometimes bad things just happen to good people.

Yes he was making a left turn.... The intersection has pretty nice hump in it when making then turn as well which could have been a contributing factor.

Yeah it's a 2012 Coronado.. They are ok but we have issues with them of various problems.. Warranty stuff.... They sure do have a lot more room then the 2007 FLD 120 Classic I'm driving....

Yeah he is ok, probably gonna feel it tomorrow.. I am gonna go see him tomorrow.. It could have been a lot worse for sure... You are right bad things happen to good people.. He is a good driver and has the years of good driving to prove he is a good driver.. Just a ###### day for him..

If your referring to the fact that the stuff is all over the place, this isn't because it flipped.. The material is like that because A) they cut the tarp of the trailer and B) They were digging it out with a backhoe at this point and putting the material into roll off bins.. Understand this isn't a garbage trailer this is a dump trailer with heavy food waste on it where most of all the weight is at the top of the trailer making it extremely top heavy..
