Stevens would lease you anything if it makes them a profit!
-
Can you make money with Stevens in the LP program as a solo driver
-
Yes, I did it for almost a year. You must be proactive to keep rolling. Never turn down a repower from Emulsified, and feed the WNAW crew. Twizzlers seem to work. Don't take more than a day or two off at a time unless you have money put aside to cover your fixed expenses. The payments never stop even if the wheels do. Also, make sure Stevens actually has freight going to or near your home. Just being on a lane is no guarantee of getting home. I think the best place to live is Dallas for ease of home time.
Fozz, Buzzard Emeritus.Corporal_Clegg and kc2000315 Thank this. -
Holy Poofiddles! It's been forever and far too long since I posted on this here forum!
What's shakin', everybody?!
So my brother and I have been teamed up since the beginning of the year. Everything's going pretty good. So good, in fact, that we are attending the Alliance business class tomorrow -- er, later today... -- and will be leasing a new T680. We decided that it was worth a shot. We talked to several drivers, our DM (who was an Alliance DM. Boy, did that ever feel like a breakup. I swear the guy was tearing up on us as he asked if we were sure. Supposedly, we were his only full team), and of course, Emul, and we asked about DMs.
We were running like crazy. We ran over 7000 miles in 7 days--including a BS 2 drop in St Louis and Detroit, weather shutdown in Missouri, a long drop in Denver, a late repower in Flagstaff, and getting stuck with a 5 pick load out of Cali.
If we can duplicate that on Alliance, we're golden. -
Ha! You've not been to Charles Ritter in Philly. Very small and cramped. Back in off the street, through the parking lot, through a gate, and around the anal headgear that backed in before you and took the closer door because he wasn't intelligent or courteous enough to take the door further in.
Oh, and there's Huxtables in Vernon, CA. Narrow doors built for straight trucks with a wall 90 feet in front, blindside... Did I mention that wall had a multicolored stripe where truck after truck has scraped it trying to back into this hellhole? -
discodubber Thanks this.

I picked up there... You forgot to mention the Taco Truck parked there where you need to line up... Went from there to Melissa's at 5:00 pm... Good Timesdiscodubber Thanks this.

You sure you weren't at Ralphs in Compton?

That place in NJ you get in the door then drop your trailer and move so another poor soul can back in. I used all the room, over the curb into the bushes and almost took out the fence. Only nice thing was when leaving, hooked up at an angle and made the pull out easier.
Corporal_Clegg Thanks this.
