I love this comment from the cops....
""Commercial motor vehicles weigh up to, and over 80-thousand pounds going rate of speed of 65-miles an hour. If they're not obeying the traffic laws, they can cause some serious damage if they happen to crash. So we're out here for their safety and the motoring safety." said Corporal James Willochell of the Pennsylvania State Police."
Good point, because we all know that a four wheeler zooming by you at 70mph, not obeying the traffic laws, causes almost no damage when it crashes. It's a shame how one sided it is in the eyes of LEO's. Like last night, I had a car so far up my ### I couldn't see anything but the dim hint of headlights on each side of my trailer rear. For a minute I thought it wasn't really a car but I had in fact run over the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwich Sunshine and he was hanging on for dear life. Then finally at an exit he pops out and heads down the ramp. These stupid drivers have no idea what would happen to them if for some reason I had to slam on my brakes. They would have been toast. But that's ok in the eyes of law enforcement.
Heads up, Drivers

You are right dgman. Ohio is especially bad in not caring what a four wheeler does around a truck. I've seen it many times. Comical that Ohio put up all those signs about give trucks more room yet their Hiway Patrol really doesn't care.
OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
Cops are some of the worst drivers I have ever seen its ridiculous Had two jump out in front of me with not so much as a turn signal a couple weeks ago on solid ice. seen three this week spin out and cut people off to catch a speeder. one almost ran into the rear off a car because he had his head so far up his butt while talking on the phone. And all this BS about they are exempt from the hands free laws "they need it for work" is just that BS they have Motorola attached to their shoulders plus the big one that's in their cars Plus I promise Jabber and road king makes Bluetooth that fits in their ears the same as the rest of us I understand their heads are to big for most that fit over the head but dang.
I will not deny that we have some terrible drivers out there had a big truck so close on a guys bumper it was unreal had less than one of the white strips between them what are those stripes 14 ft? point is per cappa I see about 1 out of every 20 cops do something totally stupid but only about 1 in every 50+ big trucks granted i see many more trucks in one day than i see cops all week. Those cops are supposed to be highly trained and all about safety and should be the last people on the roads almost causing crashes -
I hate blowing tires but giggle when a 4 wheeler is tailgating me and gets covered in rubber shrapnel.
OPUS 7 Thanks this. -

I agree with what you say, but IMHO and experience I'd estimate that over 50% of the time I see a LEO cruising in traffic they tail gate. About 10-50% of trucks are actively tail gating (depending on traffic). Some areas almost 100% of trucks are tail gating. Witness some of the massive multi-vehicle collisions this winter, many with multiple big rigs involved, all driving well over safe driving speeds in icy conditions, getting into a huge "cluster truck" without any "outs" when something goes bad in front of them.
I wish LEO's would set a better example, and put AT LEAST as much emphasis on enforcing tail gating as they do speeding. -
Set a better example? Passed a PSP lounging in the fast lane the other day in my chevette. No crap given and didn't throw him under the bus to his superiors , wheres my cookie?
They are human also.
careful what you wish for, more enforcement is not good.changes nothing anyway. short term memory, pay the man or defend yourself in court and move on rinse and repeat. -
Those "Leave More Space" signs are an absolute joke!!
I wish there was info on how many 4 wheelers get tickets
for tailgating, and sawing us off in traffic.
Its a very biased enforcement at best.I look at the same
dumb texting drivers every day,and no-one is doing anything
about it.
Stop the 4 wheelers from texting, and see where the crash ratings
go.
Can't piss off Joe public,so go chase the nasty truckers
