It's been since around early February that any chains were needed. Except for some rain every now and again, it's been dry going over I-5.

We've got chains...Donner Pass cleared...Dropped load in Sparks...had to give up our chains to another driver who'd been sitting for 2 days under a load, waiting for chains.
We got a pre-plan to go back over the mountain and are told more chains are on their way.
No chains arrive, lose pre-plan.
Sat in Fernely for 3 days till a Stevens driver carrying a load of about 30 sets arrived, and then we get another pre-plan.

I wonder, did market forces make stevens raise the training pay, or did the coming law suit make them adjust the training pay? demented minds want to know.
-
I think it was market forces. Stevens was about the last out there to raise it. As for the lawsuit? I don't think$50 a week makes a difference over what they're asking for.

Hope y'all had a good weekend, stuck in a hotel in Kitchener, Ontario since Saturday. Seal out on turbo, 14 liters of engine oil out through the exhaust, def system to be removed and cleaned, egr unplugged and who knows what else. Think hard about driving on an intermittent red check engine light, even if road rescue tells you to. Parts should get here this evening (Tuesday). Lol, hope there's a load to get me out of here.
Curb Thanks this. -
