I was 7 am right out of the gate, Examiner was a pretty stiff younger guy possibly mid early late 20's. I hear one of the worst to get, a by the book guy.
I scored 89 on pretrip air breaks. I tried to lighten the mood a little bit and got little smiles. Somehow I encroached on the straightback and scored 6 points. I knew I was in a bad way haha. We moved on to a right offset. This is where I failed, and honestly don't know what happened, I had been nailing them all day before and I guess I didn't get close enough for a good faith, well It all went to ###### after that, he was upset I was Upset he warned me about him resetting me, I said I'll do it. I started to reset and do the same process and bang he stopped me. I still feel great about myself, I did well and wasn't letting my nerves get the better of me. I'll Knock it down next friday. I can drive the hell out of the truck. I will not quit until I pass

Nerves can get the best of you. Just relax and concentrate on the task at hand. You'll get it next round!

You'll get it. Just like anything else, it takes practice. just think, it's not like you're backing between two long hood Pete's at 4am, in the rain, after a 14 hr day, with their ugly drivers and their ugly dogs staring at you, just waiting for you to hit their pride'n'joy.

Nail that test then the real fun can start.

I passed mine the first time, did it so well that my examiner got upset and kicked a barrel into me just to give me 2 points. They guy next to me failed his, and went back the following week. He still has a spotless record, and works for a decent company. Just goes to show, Never give up.

How many guys have sat in their truck waitng and watching and then recording the newbie at the pilot trying to nail the worlds smallest parking lot....Rather than offer to help, these bums record the driver hit the truck next to them while attempting three or four pull-ups. My hat goes off to the guys who take a min out of their busy lives to spot trailers and help another driver!
