Southern Refrigerated Transport runs mainly, not solely, Southern half of USA coast-to-coast. Their hiring area is mostly Southern half of USA.
Midwest-Coast Transport is based in Auburndale, FL and does lots of West Coast turns.

    Indian River Transport
    Oakley Transport
    CTL Transportation
    Superior Carriers
    Navajo Express
JBS Carriers has a Texas Regional
    Trimac Transportation
    SVTN

I think all the companies listed above hire out of Texas.

Have you been off the road awhile?
You may need refresher if you have.
If you need refresher for reefer or dry van, check these:

    Paschall Truck Lines
    Pride Transport
    Super Service
    Western Express (van division)

I work for Super Service and they do, do gaps drivers. They'll just put you with a trainer for 2-5 weeks depending on how you do on the road test. Do well enough and they won't even put you with a trainer. They run you strictly legal on e-logs but if you are new to e-logs like I am the log department is pretty cool about helping you through your learning curve. Strictly legal and they really don't want you splitting your sleeper. They'd rather re-power the load.

I like them OK. UPS and FedEx runs suck when you get those but gotta take the good with the bad. I'd give them a 7.8 on a 10 point scale with 10 being a dream gig. Same type things as any big dry box company. If you are interested in learning more about them I'll be glad to give you straight answers. Just message me. I just saw they have a sub forum if you can't message yet.

    Like I said, they're OK. I really can't complain.

With your amount of experience, you should have no problem going to Crete. I was at their sister company, Hunt, and I have to admit that Crete treats its guys really well. In fact, I had no problem getting my boss in trouble by calling them... they called over to Hunt immediately to see what was happening.

Its not lower 48, but they treat you good and get you home on time. And their pay is pretty good...

Crete is always a safe bet, really good company. I would be there if Hunt hadnt totally screwed up my relationship with the entire Crete family of companies.
