Yup. I sure do. It was 7 hours and 58 minutes before I got into a dock.

We signed up with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and was told it will be paid in 4 increments, every 3 months you get $1,ooo then at your 1 year anniversary you get $2,000. What gets us is it really isn't a sign on bonus but a retention bonus.

I have a scenario question and need help, what would your do:

You are driving on your 14 hour clock with an hour and 20 minutes left and you find the only truck stop 45 miles away during LA traffic. GPS says it will take you 58 minutes to get there in current traffic. Your driving without any overspeed but still busting your butt to get there. You run out of time and your still 5 miles from the off ramp.

    Should you:

    1. Break the speed limit if you can?

    2. Just pull to the shoulder of the freeway?

    3. Keep driving and forget about the clock?

Thanks for any and all input.

Drive to the truck stop. 5 to 10 minutes or so a couple times a month won't cause any problems. More than that will be an issue. I've been told to add the overage to the end of my 10 hr break.
