Drying out a trailer

And peanut butter tubs. Can't remember where it's at, except somewhere south of Portsmouth, VA, but have been there twice now and they ARE ANAL about clean and dry trailers. Have to go in there with an air hose and wand, and go down each and every track of your reefer. Hate that place!!!

 

Just open the doors for a few minutes... Oh wait, that only works in Phoenix.

 

And Mojave.

 

Running with the temp up and doors closed won't dry it. It's a sealed box and the air just goes round n round. The only way to get the moisture out while going down the road is to chill the coils and condense it out. I run the temp up to 70 or so to get all that moisture into the air (warm air holds moisture, cold does not), then "crash" the temp down to 20 degrees. It'll be dry in no time, with all that water draining off the coils. Hit the defrost cycle a couple times if you can.

 

Just goto the store pick up a bunch of paper towels, then just wipe the trailer down, by time you done it will be all dry, and later you will be able to use the paper towels for the BBQ at the truck stop when you are done
