I'll be honest, I didn't know a company was allowed to edit their drivers logs. I worked for a smaller fleet with only 3 trucks and used paper logs. Our manager never touched ours and it likely would have been frowned upon by the boss.

Dot man told me and even pointed it out on the book that company can only edit elogs. You're ok with paper log but elogs cant be edit by driver. I only edit if I forgot to add remark but he didn't care

If you get the correction pen, you go over the mistake with whatever the mistake was, like using correction paper on old typewriters. Also the liquid with the brush is also used.

This maybe one of those grey areas too that they maybe covering all the bases since so many lawsuits are popping up around due to work be performed off duty and person not being payed for it. Do they give you any hourly wage money for the time you are crossing back over on the ferry? I would be worried to if something happened an you were off the clock as far as an accident of some sort. Have they given any explanation as to why they are doing it this way? I have noticed on TTR a lot of times people have posted things their company has told them and it was not really true, they just didn't understand it themselves, perhaps this is the case. To me it looks like it would be logged as either off duty not driving (you are free to leave the truck and do as you please), or on duty not driving.
