i am pretty sure warnings show up
but not on your driving recordJJKid Thanks this. -
While you can get csa point for warnings, this isn't always the case. For example, you can get a warning for a minor log book violation. If it's written up as such, points will be assessed to your CSA score. The same violation, if just a verbal warning, won't get points assessed. This sounds like an excuse to pull you over for a level 2. Not that they NEED an excuse but. Was the warning for speeding written up on the level 2 paperwork? If not, I doubt any points will come into play. If it was, it most likely will.

Your citations and warnings will all be listed on your CSA. Yes, they are violations - citations, warnings, crashes - and each one gets some amount of points.

Agreed but not if the warning was verbal only. "The reason I stopped you was for going...blah blah blah. I'll just give you a warning but I'm going to do a level 2" The warning for speeding never gets written up. That won't result in any points.ewill71 Thanks this.

On the report under "reason for stop" is "speed 62/55", and "warning" box checked

Then you'll get some CSA points... more than 5 mph over is where you start collecting them.White_Knuckle_Newbie and ewill71 Thank this.

if its in writing you will be given points.. I have had verbal warnings and they don't show points, But I have received written warnings and they put points on your CSA
-
How many points do you think that'll get me?
-
From personal experience, this is the correct answer. I was pulled over in a 55 for going 62...when I both my GPS and radar system saying I was going 57. The guy just did an inspection and a "verbal warning" was issued on the ticket. Nothing ever showed on my CSA. It only shows if they specifically give you a DOT long form ticket. If they give you a short form, it won't show regardless of what they did. I found that put when my student got pulled over for his license plate light being too dim. The officer explained the different kinds of tickets. Turns out that if they give a ticket that is DOT certified, they have to share the fine money. So they write local ones that don't show up on you CSA so that the local jurisdiction keeps all the funds. Apparently they'll do this to the state as well to avoid giving the state money.Toomanybikes Thanks this.
