I think our shop pays a couple Gs every few months for the use of the software for our 13~14 ISX motors.

I would contact rush peterbilt or similar type dealership.... possibly cummins directly.
-
I have an anwser for you straight from the horse's mouth ~ our Rush Peterbilt service rep.
You have to deal directly with cummins and there are 3 levels of programing you can purchase. The cheapest and most basic pretty much acts as a code reader, you can't mess with the engine at all. The 2nd level is manufacture specific and let's you clear codes view important details etc... the highest and most expensive level is called Quickserv Online its pretty much level 1 & 2 plus more. You have complete access to everything... adjusting parameters, ecm tuning.... everything. The down side, to get it you must have a dealer license. He couldn't quote me a price, he didn't know. Hope this helps.
On a side note I can't help but notice your screen name and if you could read my post 'Bull Haulers Blues' I would appreciate it. Thanks. ~Mark -
EBay comes from China and let's you adjust stuff and read codes. Black market but works
-
Can't say I'd go that route on a new motor but to each their own.
