I've either been green lighted or gone by closed scales all this week.

En route to Grand Rapids, MI.

Hopefully we will be able to deliver early but I'm not sure if store #1 will have employees there before 0400. We are way ahead of schedule and it would be nice if we could keep it that way so we can get done early and have some extra free time tomorrow.

finally got a load at around 1015 today. picks up in lewiston id and 1st stop is sacramento ca(06/09 0800 apptp and final is fresno ca at 1300. qc nav sure screwed me today lol. didnt double check it with mac 23 and just followed direction on qc. had me go right on a 2 lane rd that was a dead end about 1.5 miles. lucky ended up at gravel pit and was able to turn around. someone got on radio and asked if i was lost and said sure was. told him where i was going and he told me that building down by river is where my stop is(4 miles away) i put in the street adress only into qc and it sent me to rite place. lesson learned lol. went to terminal to get flat tire on trailer replaced. then went to scale load and scale is getting calibrated. so just kept on going and should've sat for another 3 min to finish my 30 min break. didnt, so now at a shell in council id getting it done. going to stop at that chevron off i-84 and us95

long night finally shutting down at 7am, got to the dc at 1400 then waited until 1500 to get my load to find all marker lights were out. little over 3 hours later they got the lights working after finding a short in the wiring system. Delivered a load to Pasadena and then got a load going to Santa Maria, fuel stop was in Lost hills at the Loves for the way back so I decided to go with it, its 22 more miles but a much faster route taking the 101 to 46 to the 5 instead of the dark winding 166. Im planned for pacoima which is supposed to be delivered by 1900 and I cant start until 1700 so I shot a directed message over to the manager to give him a heads up, I know most stores delivery can be made 1 hour past the pplans which was setup to deter people from delivering late the manager told me.

When I got to work yesterday there was a message on the qc stating that dot had control of the street next to the dc and they were doing inspections for the blitz, looks like this year I skipped all of it.

dunnigan ca, at the pilot. did my 30 min break at the flying j in winnemucca nv and thought of staying there since load doesnt deliver till monday. but thought better of it, and drove the whole 576 miles in 10.5 hrs here. that way i can get a 34 reset in. even though i really dont need one. weather wasnt an issue since it hot in both places lol

Sodium benzoate was released during forklift loading of a truck.

    http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2014...ll-during-hazmat-spill-at-riverside-business/

In the comments section someone indicated they worked there and the forklift must have punctured a drum?

Interesting that SB is a hazardous material if it gets wet and is inhaled...

... but it is used as a food "preservative".

Gosh, makes me all warm and fuzzy to consider all the crap that goes into our food these days.
