    I was told years ago OTR was exempt from this sort of thing .

    i started out ne reg then switched to otr:biggrin_25525:doesnt matter to me a company like western deserves anything coming to them :).I personally put up with mediocre miles & pay for 9 months and i had a 2014-2015 volvo that was in the shop for 1 thing or another every week.Finally came to conclusion enough was enough:biggrin_25525:got outta there before something happened & they were my only hope

    Interesting, in California with their labor laws and the labor law enforcement, this might finally come to something. I have a couple of friends to call latter as well.

    It plays out like this; the lawyers get rich and the drivers get a $50.00 coupon to shop at K-Mart.
    I signed for one of those years ago and got a coupon for $5.00 and immediately threw it in the trash can where it belongs.
    Another thing, if the lawyer fees exceed the award; everyone that signed on gets a lawyer bill in the mail.

    I think the plaintiffs in question are those in probationary and OTJ training status and I doubt they have a leg to stand on as they are not officially "working" or fully employed. The federal exemption for truck drivers from overtime pay has always held up when people try this so I don't see it going anywhere ... not even a settlement.
