Just found out that usx will hire me. Been off the road since 2007. My question is the"recruiter" told me the only difference is going to be an extended road test. That just seems odd to me.. I haven't forgot how to drive, the only thing I would prob need is a bit of log training but even that there is only a few issues I haven't experienced yet. I got the 14hr thing back when I drove at prime so I can handle that. Just curious if anyone has any info on the orientation at Tunnel Hill which is where I believe I will be going, not sure though cause my"recruiter" wont call me back, which of course, I know, don't surprise me lol.. ok carry on........

The orientation is 2.5 days. Nothing to it other than being long and boring. The road test is real easy.
Don't worry about log training. The company is on E-Logs and the DriverTech calculates everything for the driver.Shaggy0824 Thanks this. -
Well they say I will be running team since I live in Fl. Dont really want to but I will do what I gotta do to get my foot back in the door. Just wondered when they team me will it be considered "training"? I guess if i show them I can still operate a truck in a safe manner that is all they are concerned about. I just ask these questions here because I would like to hear it from the "mouth of babes" rather than a recruiter who will tell me what I want to hea r. Also if anyone has been to tunnel hill orientation or choo choo, I figure it will be one of those terminals, how are the accomadations and such? Thanks
