My wife and I are here in West Memphis. We finally got our truck then the new DBL discovered, "hey, your last DBL didn't send you to the team division." So, we sat since Friday afternoon til today. We had 1 load pre-assigned earlier that was in a van but required tanker endorsement for the load. That was this morning at 10:00. Now it's 15:00 and we sit.

Hate when guys do the brake test really early in the morning right in transient parking. Don't they have enough common sense that people are sleeping? Why not drive away from everyone trying to sleep and do it elsewhere?

If I'm hooked to a empty it's mine. Even if your task says other wise all for one, one for all. All it takes is me typing in the number and poof it's mine. [iQUOTE=scythe08;4103481]Start the day off getting in a huge argument with another driver over an mt. God, I hate liars.[/QUOTE]

was picking up an mt and an o/o came up to me and told me one of mt trailers has an air leak and there was only 1 more left in the back. i thanked him and went back to drop the loaded trailer. another driver came in lookin for mt and he hookup to the bad trailer. i debated in my head if i should tell him since i already have another preassignment. finally i yell at him to tell him he can take the last one and ill wait for sem or dispatch to get a better trailer. but he was wearing headphones and seem to be in a rush. he left before i can finish dropping mine.... an extra 30 sec to do a proper air/brake check is 3 hours you save sittin on the side of the road.

Yep empties are first come first serve. I learned my lesson trying to be the nice guy and give up an mt trailer. Always get screwed over trying to find another.

I have never had a problem with someone getting a trailer that was assigned to me. I know how tough it can be and I would never walk up to somebody and start bs. But I'm hooked and raising the gear and he comes up saying that he was assigned it and he was over at the shop ( We apparently have a huge dedicated walmarr fleet and then he kept changing his story and being passive agressive and rolling his eyes. He hit almost every button I had and I was trying like heck to be nice (while talking through gritted teeth) so I gave him the trailer (back, I guess) and found another one hidden. Wal-Mart loves to use our trailers for storage so theres usually one or two hidden in a not so obvious spot. I never understood that. They'll have 500's of their trailers and they use several of ours to hold pallets
