Im not exactly new but I have 3 solid years of CDL A driving experience, and I have been around trucks and this industry my whole life. I work for a Local Company driving a day cab, and the pay is absolutely horrible compared to the work and the management has been having a lot of problems so its going downhill fast. My question is What is a good company to work for? Like I said I have been around the industry for quite sometime so I know about all the BS most companies give you. I don't want to work for a "Large" company like Schneider, JB HUNT, Werner places like that, Im looking for more family oriented that treat you like a driver and not a number. I wont drive an automatic, I guess I'm old school for a young age. Im looking for companies that run W900's or 379's or western stars, "real" trucks. Going O/O is an option but id like to work my way up to that. Now I know now a days how this industry is becoming but I do know there are "real" trucking companies out there and I'm looking to find them. Thanks for yalls Help!

    Then China will come . . .

Its a shame you have such a silly requirement for a career. I know some companies who run automatics and their drivers take home 6 figures. Home every night..
