I feel the way he does about my aunt Carmella but that's a story for sitting at a bar drinking a cold beer.

What's this? Someone dissed Lessors while joseph was around? Rut Roe...It's on like donkey kong!

By the way, I agree with the fact that it is what you make of it. For every bad experience there are exceptions as well. Kinda makes me want to share a quote from my father when I used to call him and complain when I started driving 30 years ago:

" It is a lifestyle kid. You knew it, and chose willingly. Now shut up and drive!"

    I miss the cranky old #######. :(

If the gripe is valid, I won't say anything. But if it's not, if it's clearly BS, then I call it like I see it. And your dad was a smart guy!

He sounds like one of those kind of people that
would complain if they didn't hang them with a new rope. Thats why I dont like to hang around
    unhappy people. Negativity is contagious.

This is the kind of TTR thread that makes TTR look bad in my view.

OP comes on with a single negative post, one post and the thread goes on for 50 more posts dogpiling on the OP. There's no honor in this. A lack of dignity. Reminds me of Rodney King, in fact.

Is it really so dangerous to let the OP have his rag?? Why the need to castigate the OP?? Seems to me a certain desperation to not let the negative side out. Why?? Afraid it's going to catch fire and go somewhere?? Afraid that others not having a great time with the company will speak up??

I've had two experiences with Lessors drivers. Up in Wisconsin, the Lessors driver cut me off when I signaled to get around a slow dump truck, took the lane I needed from well in back of me, then tailgated a car up ahead of me. When that failed, moved into the inside lane and tailgated another car there!! Now, is this just a crazed driver or is he/she under pressure from dispatch??

    Dunno.

The second, a Lessors driver expressed no enthusiasm for the company. None. Let's keep in mind that recruiters often get their pay by commission and have a reputation in the honesty department somewhere below used car salesmen. Add to that the oohs and ahhs here. About big dollars, big miles, tons of loads. Yada, yada, yada. Just a lot of braggadocio all over again.

Then reality hits. Maybe the OP finds it's a scumbag outfit after all, lipstick on a pig. How dare the OP speak out, eh?

The lopsidedness of 50 against the OP's starting post says it all for me.

    A sad thread on TTR.

Dog piling? Comparisons to Rodney King? Seriously dude? I have read through this entire thread and have not seen one attack on the OP. In fact when you go to any thread on this site, the responses always out number the OP. That is the way it is designed since thousands read the posts.
He gave his opinion and a few responded with their own opinion. That is what makes this web site great!
I read your response and thanked you for it. Why? Because I respect your view whether I agree or not...winks.

I called Lessors probably over 7 years ago about a job, always noticed their shiny, new looking, "fast" (remember this is 7 years ago) trucks. What turned me off was the fact that the recruiter flat out told me I would have to stay out two weeks to even think about hometime, and even then it would only be enough for a 34 hour restart.

I prefer to bank up three to 4 weeks on the road, sometimes more, and then take off a full week. Just my prerogative....I can actually get things done like yard work and house projects, and have fun and somewhat of a social life on my hometime, vs barely being home long enough to sleep in my own bed. In 10+ years out here I have finally found a company that knows how to allow hometime the way I like it. On the downside I am not making as much money as the guys that stay out 48+ weeks per year, but on the plus side I get enough time at home to remind there is life outside of a drivers seat and i get to reset and relax my fried nerves once in a while.

I have also interacted with several Lessors drivers over the past 12 or so years, and none had much to say good about Lessors. Nothing terrible, outside of getting stuck at the FL terminal or wherever the other one is, but nothing good either. I know without a doubt there are worse places to work, but I got the impression Lessors was "just another trucking job."

I can't comment on whether on not Lessors is actually good or bad, just knowing what I know they would not be for me. It is possible that the OP and many others had a bad experience with them. It is possible for Joseph they are the best around. I will say he seems to be the exception and not the rule.

If I was driving I wouldnt be posting. My company offered me a bunch of crappy loads that wont even deliver until Monday. I accepted a load down to Houston and Austin. Am I on here bashing my
company blaming them for what a miserable job
this is? If you post on here expect to hear from a few people that disagree with you. I been out here
OTR for a long time and I say this job sucks. I only
do it for the money which keeps getting lousier every year. I wouldn't recommend this job to anybody if they can find something better. Some companies are worse than others. Some are just
plain no good thieves and cheats. I figure maybe a few more years and I can finally retire. Hopefully I
don't end up splattered all over the side of the road some where by some moron in another truck
or car before then. Nobody made me be a truck driver that was my decesion. If I had known what it was going to turn into I would never have stayed
in this business. Since the economy sucks and decent paying jobs are scarce where I live I just keep on trucking. When your young the world will
offer you a lot of opportunities, as you get older those opportunities fade away. The only good thing I can say about trucking is it pays my bills

I have seen bad drivers behind the wheel of almost every company on the road. I have also
at one time or another seen their trucks involved
in a bad accident. It has nothing to do with the
company and its dispatchers. It has everything
to do with whos driving the truck. Does a tool do
a bad job or the hand that holds that tool?
