I think Lessors is ok. They just do two things I am not liking anymore at my over 60+ age.....cold and chain. I am in a position in life where I can be a bit more picky on where I work, or don't since I have been off since the end of May... :)

You don't have to chain here. You have the option to sit it out.

Actually, chaining isn't required at all. Just carry. Cold? Yeah. You'll see Minnesota quite a bit. And it's COLD there, ha ha.

True it gets hot there. And it was hot in San Antonio Texas too. We came back West to be closer to our family. Most of our kids and grand kids live in Southern California. Kommiefornia is not real retiree friendly so we decided to go to Nevada. In another 3-4 years when I finally do retire (again) we will probably head out in the RV during the Summer and then back for the Winter. Reverse Snowbirds.

Joe is right about one thing, there are lots of drivers who have no clue how to work hard and mange their time.

There are also countless companies who do not know how to manage time and resources.

It always boggled my mind how companies with 400 plus trucks acted like getting a driver home on time was like pulling teeth, yet they are quick to leave you sit in some sewer of a truckstop or indusrtial park when they "cant" find you a load. i would know because i used to work for one.

Outside of acts of God, My company with less than 30 trucks has no problem making it happen.

There are now 110 pages under "Report a Bad Trucking Company Here," and that's not counting ones that might have been erased. If even 1/4 of those complaints are legitimate, that says a lot about how bad this industry has become as a whole.
