Lets take tonighy for example I got stopped about 230 and went to bed I was tired woke up 730 8 been awake since because I was rested its now time I can drive according to the clock.
Now am I safer driving now than I would have been 5 hrs ago or 4 when I would have been at home 2 hrs ago had I been able to leave then?

It's cost. Why would someone with just a few trucks, or just one truck, want to go to e-logs? The only people I see happy with them are company drivers.

I see where you are going with that, at same time, like was said you could do split or depending on how much time was left finish another 10 hour and go. My whole point this time is if I like them why can't I use them, and if you like paper why can't you use that??? I put a challenge out there for someone to show me in dot green book where anyone is being forced to use elogs unless u r a company man. No one has so why all the ######## about them?

Cause the being forced is coming. Soon, nobody will have choice. Wonder how long after the boxes go in, before remote controlled kill switches are installed?

Because like all of the other "versus" threads here on TTR, it's "I ain't doing it this way, and you can't force me"; "I blame it on the megas/bottom feeders"; "it's the new generation of drivers"; it doesn't matter the topic, you can take those three comments and insert in any thread and it will apply.

it be nice if the newbies and box lovers, just leave their love for the leash, to themselves, and let the rest of us. slowly fade away into the sunset.

nope, they just have to have an argument. over and over and over.

but hey, 5 years from now. someone can start another REMEMBER WHEN thread, where we could do our jobs, with FREEDOM.

Maybe the real problem is the way you guys are being paid. If you were paid for them 6 hours in the dock would you log it as on duty, but only paid if you log it as on duty?
I'm Otr, paid hourly. So I log everything because I'm actually paid for my time.
You guys that go off duty all your doing is working longer each week. I work 70 hours a week. You guys work about 100 because on duty time accounts for about 20-30 hours a week.

I work about 60 to 65 hrs a week and I am paid via direct deposit. I'm not complaining. :)

I addition to the coming requirement (unless someone grows a brain), there are other considerations. These have been mentioned before, such as drivers being less safe on e-logs because of the time restraints. Look, if you like them, fine. Knock yourself out, but don't try to piss down our backs and tell us it's raining.
