Knocked ya good at 0:26, Youtube has a video editor so you can chop the rest of the video off. 30 secs would be more appropriate than 3 minutes.
I'd be calling that company right away for reparations.scottied67 and SHO-TYME Thank this. -
really, both of you comment on how oh well not a big issue someone backed into you and left and I even made your own words bigger. Doesn't matter if one has dents and such already in their trailer or yours. All I know is that if someone would have taken off your hood, or wiped one of your doors you both would be crying a different tune.
here is how I would approach it, if someone hit and did the right thing, and I seen there was no damage, or I drove a crappy trailer that had dents, scratches etc... Already in it, I would talk with the guy and let it go......but.....
if it was on my new trailer which I haul and no damage or scrapes again if he did the right thing ok, no harm no foul.....but if he turned into a jerk then yep I am calling it in no matter if there was damage or not. And if it was a hit and run, well then I would have his head on a platter especially if I had video with all the truck info on it.
to codone, others who do this or let them slide doesn't help anyone and makes it another persons problem, don't we have enough idiots, and super truckers out here he are either to lazy or fat to get out of the truck and look, or have the patience to give someone an opportunity to back into a spot without them trying to just fly behind the person backing hoping not to get hit.
there is just no excuse, for it unless one is having some sort of medical issue. -
Yawn ........

Nice attitude.
Maybe you'd act different if YOU owned the trailer and someone damaged it and drove off.'olhand Thanks this. -

I tell ell you what, how about you pm me your home address and when I get into the area, I'll just kindly swipe your personal vehicle, and leave, no biggie right, you can use a few scuff marks on it anyways.
that is the whole thing wrong with trucking I don't own it so I don't care attitude. Everyone should be driving and maintaining their equipment like they owned it.....why....well duh, that's how we make our money.....now here's your sign.... -
There is only one reason that I appreciate scottied's point of view here. I was once (falsely) accused of backing into another vehicle, and leaving the scene. Now it was not too terribly hard to pretty much prove that it was not ME that hit this clown's utility trailer, (that was parked in a really stupid location,) but it still gave me enough time on the hot seat, that I was really concerned.scottied67 and Lowa3468 Thank this.

IMHO--The issue here is NOT--how much/what kind of damage--the issue here is runnin off! I've been dinged/nicked/hit over the years...more times than I care to remember--and frankly--those who have owned up to it and done it properly----SOMETHING could always be worked out---and while I'm a much more laid back Grandpa---nowadays--IF you as much as nick any part of my ride--and try to run or deny it---I turn right back into a 22y/o--just home from the service--mean ###### biker in a heartbeat! It is about accepting responsibility and handling yourself Properly
scottied67 and Lowa3468 Thank this. -
A little background info, the trailer is a 2015 Hundai dry van that I am leasing from Xtralease. I will be in touch with them today about what to do about it.
