Truck and Travel on 20 in Weatherford always has parking. Across from Pilot.
Gateway travel Plaza near Kilgore on 20 is small but I always found parking there.
Nice rest area on 81 N of SanAngelo at Water Valley.
Lot more if I can remember them.

I've never had a problem finding a spot at 2am at the TA in New Brunswick
-
Never had problems finding parking at the Pilot in Waco

I'm new to all this, but unless I need a shower or something to eat I think I'd pick a rest area over the truck stops....just my humble opinion...send quieter, cleaner and just plain restful LOL
PackRatTDI Thanks this. -
Same here. I prefer the rest stops because the truck stops are always full.

What's the latest on the old truck stop on 30 in Winfield? Last time I was thru there, they were working on it...

We stopped at the Flying J in Waco yesterday to fuel and against my better judgement I suggested to my wife that we have a sit down meal at the Dennys. This turned into a disaster real fast. Our waitress Kat seemed like she was on crystal meth. She got our whole order wrong and kept bad mouthing her co-workers( like I really wanna hear that). We were so annoyed that we decided to leave. The manager was by the register so we explained to her our experience and now Kat is out of a job and will be attending the CR England CDL school. Give plenty of room when this crackhead is out on the road with you.

Hey guys since I don't need it anymore, I'll fill you on a great spot in Waco Texas. It's convenient to I-35. Look up Wycon Dr. It's a dead end street and has a huge turn around at the end past the Sherwin Williams DC. You'll get teenagers out there late at night smoking cigs and drinking beer but they won't bother you and will keep their distance. Enjoy

lol, you think Waco is bad, guess you have never been to the j in Kansas City.

Avoid like the plague. I go park one exit north at the Ameristar casino
In Texas there are plenty of plenty of places to park along 59 from Texarkana to Laredo. Never had a problem parking at the TA in New Braunfels and the J and Pilot in Orange always seem to have parking.
Plenty of spots outside of Baytown in the smaller truckstops as opposed to parking in Houston. (Although the dump called Truckers Paradise of Wallisville I believe usually has parking but don't say I didn't warn you)
