Ear plugs are what I refer to as "my little sleepy time friends".

Where exactly is a trainer suppose to keep those extra trailers to set up....

I realize that a truck stop is a public and shared place as well as a noisy place.... from reefers, especially if they have a squeaky belt... once was woke up when the guy next to me was getting a tire changed...

If you want a peaceful night sleep get a motel room.... there is always going to be a lot going on at a truck stop...

Some people try and control everything and everyone around them.. just use your flashers and leave the horns out of it.. as for headlights... theyrè always on by default in my current truck. until the tractor brake is set.. so please dont fall aprt at the seams when some drivers have them on

My trainer made me practice in truck stops. No horns though.

.Here there are many big lots perfect for backing.Even at a terminal while waiting for a load practice backing where they keep the trailers. If someone wants to practice backing at a trkstop just show respect and do it away from the other trks because as you know this is a 24/7 many drive at night and their sleep is important. There are a lot of good times during training to practice backing. If they choose a trk stop just make sure there is a lot of open area and far away from other trks. Most Pilots and Loves is not the ideal place to train.Alot of TA'S Petros or some off the wall trkstop with lots of parking would probably be a better place if done during the day like after 8 am.At night no unless you wanna see a lot of angry drivers.

If you are operating a school, you should make a place available. If you can't do that, you shouldn't be operating that school.

define "somewhere else", and outta who's butt am I gonna pull out a few trailers and orange cones to set up a course? I'm a trucker out on the road, not Donald Trump! I can imagine Donald Trump, the trucker trainer, on the phone setting this up. "Have our purchasing dept. buy a 100 acre commercial lot over here where my trainee and I will shutdown for the day and do some backing practice. Oh yeah, lets rent some empty semi trailers and get them out there pronto. And hire some day laborers to put out cones..."

Oh Boy, maybe you day sleepers just need earplugs.

I don't know Patty. All I see anymore are angry drivers. I don't try to appease them because that only makes them more bold with their anger. The only thing they respect is asserting yourself against them. You can't please everybody all the time. And these spoiled brats running around angry all the time(most of them are grumpy, old men that need a nap or just need to retire); they just need a new hobby before they get hurt or in trouble trying to exert their wishes on everybody.
